Passed away on December 4, 2021. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1989 and was the Salutatorian - class and school president. He lettered in Varsity swimming as a freshman and was allowed to graduate in January 1989 to travel to Hiroshima, Japan and teach English to Japanese middle school students.
Eric attended Illinois Wesyelan University majoring in Japanese. He graduated from Marquette University in 1993 with a BA in Economics and later attended MIAD and graduated in 1998 with a BA in Graphic Arts. He worked as an Independent Graphic and Website designer. His joys and hobbies were traveling both internationally to Europe Thailand, Hong Kong, Mexico and many states in the U.S. He loved to cook and started his own catering service but especially enjoyed being a sous chef for his mother. Eric was a thoughtful, caring and humorous and loved his family and friends. Eric was his mothers best friend. He would take her to plays, concerts dinners and trips throughout the country. He always had time to make her happy and loved.
Dear son to Thomas and Sharon. Loving brother to Allison and uncle Coo Coo to his beloved niece Peyton Phillips. He will be remembered and loved by his many friends and family and his recent visit by friends Jamie and Rick were especially appreciated. A special thank you goes out to the St. Luke's Oncology 12th floor, especially Ashley and Ryanne. Also the comfort given to him at the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in January. Details will be announced.
