Our beloved aunt, Eleanore Karian, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024. Eleanore was born on March 1, 1930, in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She was the third of four children born to Harabed and Kohar Karian (nee Hugopian).  She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings:  Margaret (Harold) Baylerian, Harry (Yevkine) Karian, and Patricia Karan.  She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews who she loved as her own children:  Robert (Diane) Baylerian, Joan Baylerian, James (Jodi) Baylerian, Thomas (Michelle) Baylerian, Sharon (Brad) Felber, Jean Karian, Greg Karian, Sandra Harrison, Keith Olson, Jill Olson, and several great nieces and nephews:  Marissa Baylerian, Megan (Baylerian) Boyce, Nuri Baylerian, Ara Baylerian, Nick Bitzke, Elizabeth Azizian, William Azizian, Tyler Karian, Madeline Karian, Eli Karian, Kendra (Harrison) Remsburg, Garrett Harrison, Shyllah Olson, Lucas Bitzke, Logan Bitzke and two great-great Nephews:  Hugo Boyce and Jonathan Azizian Eleanore came from humble beginnings.  Her parents were survivors of the Armenian Genocide.  After immigrating to the US in the early 1920s, they found factory work in South Milwaukee.  She grew up on Manitoba Avenue, surrounded by neighboring cousins and other Armenian families that also settled in the area.  She graduated from South Milwaukee High School and worked at Allen Bradley for many years before retiring at age 55.  Eleanore spent many happy years as a resident of Bay View Terrace Condominiums. Family was everything to Elearnore, and her family's loyalty to one another was cherished.  She was always available to her sisters and brother, nieces, and nephews to lend a hand or talk things through.  Eleanore will be remembered for her ever-positive outlook on life, her pleasant demeanor, her independent spirit, and her interests in fashion and home decor. " And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."  Ecclesiastes 12:7 A private celebration of life will be held this summer. Memorials to the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR), Wisconsin Chapter, are appreciated. S.O.A.R. donations in memory of Eleanore Karian
