Edie attended St. John's, now Divine Mercy, grade school, and graduated from South Milwaukee High School. In her early years as a stay-at-home mom, she was involved in her children's life and volunteered as gym teacher, lunch mom and where she could at church. She was always good friends with the priests, nuns and teachers. She sang in church choirs for years. Music was a passion and Edie was an accomplished accordionist, playing into her adult years. Family was always important to Edie. Many holidays were celebrated at her home with her extended family with laughter and food to making them memorable. Edie loved creating homemade gifts for family and friends as she was skilled at sewing and crocheting, including making afghans. She had a home tailoring business while her children were in school. She later worked man years as a housekeeper at the former Trinity Hospital in Cudahy. Edie was a spiritual woman with a special love of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Thomas Merton. She read the lives of the saints and loved anything related to nature or gardening. Edie had a green thumb and most things thrived in her care. She also loved traveling throughout the US, Europe, and Ireland. Edie's love, laughter, kindness and gentle spirit are missed by all who were blessed to know her. Until we meet again!
