Don Green has left us to join his one true love Del. On Friday March 20th they were reunited for the first day of spring. Don lived such a beautiful life that I can only wish it upon everyone. His life was filled with his passionate love of Del, to whom he paid daily homage, and to countless friendships. Friends that traveled together, boated together, dressed up, dressed down, from dinghies and super soakers, to dressing up like pirates, they always found a way to have a party. So to those that are gone and those who remain, I say cheers to everyone that helped Don be Don.
Since September my wife Korrina and I have had the privilege of taking care of Don. Each night I would help Don to bed, he would say "Thanks for everything David. I will see you in the morning." On the last night however ho only said "Thanks for everything."
It would be a mistake if I didn't take time to thank the doctors and staff at the Zablocki VA hospital. These people are saints! They all took the best care of Don and all of us at the end. Such kindness. With that I would like to say Goodbye Dad and Thank You For Everything!
A visitation has been scheduled for April 2, 2026 at Molthen Bell Funeral Home (700 Milwaukee Ave) at 11:00. This will be followed by Military Honors at 12:30 pm. If you are unable to attend the visitation there will be a Celebration of Life at the Club sometime after the boats are in and the whirlwind calms down.
