Delores Melcher

Delores P. "Dee" Melcher (nee Pfeffer) of Cudahy, passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the blessed age of 92. She was preceded in death by her remarkable parents Joseph and Mary Pfeffer "Ma and Pa". Dee was the last surviving of eleven siblings, reunited in heaven with; Leroy, Rosemary, Edward, twin sister Doris Larson "Whitey", Helen Zimmerman, Raymond, Janis Coletti "Little Jan", Lorraine Russell, Margret Lena "Maggie" and Joseph "Zep". She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, David, the apple of her eye. Her dearest daughter Colleen Willard and Dawn Paulke (Kenneth Stucy). Loving Grammy to four grandchildren; Amy Turner (Cassidy), Christy Gorton (Michael), Elaine House (Kevin) and Trever Stucy. Cherished Great Grammy of; Faith, Isaac, Luke, Clare, Fallyn and Hank. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dee retired from South Shore YMCA where she was employed as a lifeguard for many years. After retirement, Dee and David moved full time to Eagle River, WI. They relished in the peace, tranquility and lifestyle of the northwoods and revered it as "God's Country" before moving back to Cudahy to be closer to their family. Dee's faith was an essential part of her life, which was evident by her kindness, compassion and generosity to all those around her. Dee prayed the rosary daily and her family thought of her as their Angel. Dee's memory will continue in the lives and hearts of those who loved her so much. Per Dee's wishes, no formal services will be held.
