Loving mother of James (spouse Anne Marie) Pintarro, Vince (spouse Audrey) Pintarro, Antoinette (late spouse Scott) Whitman, MaryAnn (spouse Tom) Wesley. Sister of Joe, Tony, Rose, and Mary Scaffidi and half-sister to Carmello and Francis Cicero. Grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren, and 1 great, great, great grandchild.
A woman who has influenced a family of generations to value family, help one another when in need, and love deeply. A woman with determination, great strength, and a bit of feistiness, yet dependably tender and loving
Family gatherings always made her happy. She was named "Go-Go" and lived honestly by that name given to her by her late husband August. When not with family, she loved to travel and go to parties, play cards with family or friends, and of course play a few slot machines at the casino!
Carmella's pastime enjoyment did include some soap operas', bingo, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and always a good crossword puzzle. She always enjoyed telling everyone to "Google it" if any questions would come up that she didn't know the answer to.
Many people would ask Carmella "What is your secret to a long full-filled life?". Her answer was always, "being stubborn"!
She had a lot to teach us in the way she lived her life. She taught her family how to love, to appreciate life and to keep trying when things didn't always work out.
We will miss her dearly, but she will remain deep in our hearts and in our memories. We will think of her often, and forever remember all the wonderful times we've had with her.
"As you hold me close in memory even though we are apart, my spirit will live on in the heaven of your heart...."
