Even though Audrey began life from humble beginnings her parents, Agnes and John gave her a life filled with riches; love, family values, laughter, hard work, craziness and faith. In order for Audrey to have the riches of the world. Her mother would go without shoes and had to walk oncow pies in the winter so Audrey could have shoes. She sewed all of Audrey's clothes by hand...stitch by stitch. Her father ate lard sandwiches, stood in bread lines for hours as well as job lines just to get a job for the day to make sure Audrey never went hungry. This powerful and heart felt tribute to the sacrifices Agnes and John made for Audrey was the lessons learned of what the true riches are in life really are.
The legacy begins... Her husband Tony was in the service in San Antonio. Audrey was on an adventurous road trip with her girlfriends. As fate would have it, a local restaurant hosted a dance, and destiny took over. Across the room, their eyes met. They danced the night away under a sky filled with stars. This began their love story, and the rest is history.
Audrey was a true star, both in life and on the stage. As a lead actress with The Sheridan Players, she shined in productions such as Send Me No Flowers, Any Wednesday, and Everybody Loves Opal. Her passion for the theater was a reflection of her love for the spotlight, and she embraced every moment with glamour, grace, and a touch of glitz.
A woman of many joys, Audrey found excitement in her weekly trips to Potawatomi Casino in Wisconsin and her anniversary getaways to Las Vegas with her beloved husband, Tony. At home, she nurtured vibrant gardens, filling them with colorful blooms that mirrored her zest for life.
Holidays were a magical time in Audrey's home, especially Christmas, Halloween, and 4th of July, where she poured her heart into every detail, making the celebrations unforgettable for both children and adults alike.
Audrey treasured spending time with her daughters, Dawn, Kim & Andrea, whether it was shopping, working out, playing bingo, family card nights, picnics, going to the movies, dining out, trips, and so much more. She cherished her trips with Peter and Brenda and family. She loved exploring many corners of the United States with her husband, children, and grandchildren creating beautiful memories along the journey.
Audrey had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, who brought her joy and companionship throughout her life. She also had a profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and her faith, which guided her with strength and grace. It is fitting that she should pass away on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Audrey's legacy is one of love, laughter, and elegance. She will forever be remembered for her radiant spirit, devotion to family, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many.
May she rest in eternal peace, her star shining just as brightly in the heavens as it did here on earth.
