Ann Trochta passed away on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, at the age of 96. A resident of Cudahy, WI, Ann was a cherished member of her community who touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she not only worshiped but contributed through the Dorcas Society among other activities such as sit down service and funeral luncheons. Her involvement extended to the Wisconsin Slovak Historical Society and Sokol Milwaukee, reflecting her deep respect for Slovak roots and her enthusiasm for cultural preservation. Ann spent time baking and cooking for family and friends along with the Czech group for the holiday folk fair. She also loved to knit and read.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Trochta, and her sister, Darinka Kohl. Ann is survived by her loving children: Georgean (Emery) Radi, Daniel Trochta, James (Jill) Trochta, and Thomas Trochta. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: John, Jenny (Kyle), Amber (Scott), Amy (Steve), John (Erin), and Molly (Boyd), and her great-grandchildren: Anna, Emery, Andrew, and Sean. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Vera Payer, her brother-in-law Jerry (Karen) Trochta and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Slovak Historical Society—two organizations close to Ann's heart. The family wishes to thank the staff at Restorative Home Care for the care given to Ann over the years. May she rest in eternal peace.
