Angeline was born and grew up on Elm St. (now E Maple St) in Carrollville (now a part of Oak Creek). She had 5 older brothers. She attended Otjen School through 8
th
grade, (now Otjen Park) and attended South Milwaukee High School grades 9 thru 12, graduating in 1947.
She worked as a secretary at
Bucyrus
-
Erie
before marring in January of 1949. While raising 6 children she worked different jobs at times. She was a short order cook, a drill-press operator and had other jobs. In 1977 she started working for American Motors at the Clement Ave parts warehouse until she retired at the age of 68.
She became a sports fan because she got into some of the sports pools at work. She was a big fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers and she watched their games whenever they were on.
Our brother Jim was born with
Cerebral Palsy and she was always devoted to his care and needs. She saw that even with his challenges, he had a full and enjoyable life.
Although her brothers, sisters-in law and brother-in law passed before her, she is survived by many family members on both the Lemcke and Gabik sides of the family.
She was a quiet and caring person, a good mother and loved very much by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
