Andrew Joseph Connors, born July 11th, 1956, of the Bad River Ojibwa Reservation, walked on November 26th, 2025. He looked back at us with love and turned onto a path we cannot see though he had to leave so many cherished souls behind, among whom is his wife, Meg Wajerski. Andrew was a devoted father to his son, Eric Connors and daughter, Anna Connors, loving grandfather to Toren, step-father to Liz and Sarah and Nicole, son to William Skenandore and the late Barbara Connors. Andy is further survived by many precious siblings, step-siblings, and a host of dearest relations and friends.
Teacher, storyteller, musician, and poet, Andy was a lifelong member and advocate in local Native American activities, with special connections to the Indian Community School and the Indian Council of the Elderly. He adored children, music, culture, history and all manners of spiritual reverence. He was an extraordinary man whose departure from our lives is without measure. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been a part of his life.
All are welcome to the Celebration of Life for Andy on December 29th, 2025 beginning at 11 am, held at the Indian Community School: 10405 W. St. Martins Rd, Franklin, WI. For those who wish to bring food, it is appreciated at our potluck feast after the service. Thank you.
