Violet Ruth Koniar

91 of Cudahy passed away on June 15, 2021. Born February 24, 1930 in Milwaukee to George A. and Ella L. (nee Brustman) Denninger. She graduated from Lutheran High School of Milwaukee in 1948 and the family moved to Cudahy in October of that year. Worked at Geo. J. Meyer Mfg. Co. about 2 years before marrying John Koniar in March of 1950. She enjoyed baking bread, bakery, and kolaches for family and friends. She became a teller at Cudahy Marine (Bank One) for about 15 years. Was an active Life member of the Wisconsin Slovak Historical Society for many years and Activities Chairperson for about 5 years. Active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cudahy, also serving on Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, and Funeral Committee.

Wife of the late John Koniar for 70 years.

Mother of Paul M. (the late Carrie) of Iron Ridge; Nada M. (Duane) Kramp of Stevensville, MI; Daniel J. (Valerie) of New Berlin; Mila R. (Marvin) Goetsch of Sheboygan; and John A. of South Milwaukee. Sister of the late George R. (the late Irene) Denninger of Fox Lake, WI, and Norma J. (John) Juern of Colgate, WI.

Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church (3775 E. Cudahy Ave., Cudahy). Funeral service to follow at 11:00. Interment at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
