Victor “Vic” Richard Lahr, 92, of Cudahy, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021. Beloved husband of Arlene (nee Mulling) for 65 years. Loving dad of Diane (Don) Radowski, Vicky (Joel) Glazer, Cindy (Luis) Lopez, Judy (John) Rodriguez, Scott (Shellie), and Mick (Jayne) Buchan. Proud grandpa of Jason, Jesse (Itzel), Allison (Kyle), Jennifer, Justin, Sarah (Matt), Ashley, Ryan (Kori), Alexie, Alex, Aiden and great-grandpa to Julian. Further survived by his siblings, Donald, Barbara Munson, Mary Lou Poncelet, nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends and his best buddy, Sammy, his rat-terrier dog.
Victor was born in Harlan, Iowa, on June 20, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Julia Lahr, brothers, Buddy and Robert, in-laws, Carl and Eva Mulling, and several loving sisters-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s.
Vic retired from Harley-Davidson after 35 years, as one of the best ‘tranny’ repairmen. He was a purple heart veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. His greatest honor was participating in the Honor Flight.
Grampa Vic, as he was lovingly nicknamed, shared his love for the outdoors with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, reading, baking, making his famous hand-cream, and Kahlua and sharing ET with welcomed visitors.
The family would like to thank the VA, Home Instead and Hospice nurses and staff that aided in his care.
Visitation will be held at Molthen-Bell & Son Funeral Home, South Milwaukee, WI on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 8:30-10:30. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30. Virtual viewing will be offered.
