Obituary for Ruth E Jacob

Ruth Eileen Jacob, 80, met her Lord and Savior April 10, 2024 at Autumn Leaves in Franklin, WI.

Ruth was born in South Milwaukee, WI to Esther and Albert Joncas.  She met her husband Earle while attending Oak Creek High School. They graduated together in 1962 and were married July 18, 1964. They had 3 children. She worked for Johnson Controls in Milwaukee. To help support the family she went to work at Lloyd’s Lunch in South Milwaukee and a mink farm in Oak Creek. Later she started driving bus for Bestway Bus Co. She also worked at St. John’s school as a part time secretary.  She then went on to work at the United States Bowling Congress where she stayed until she retired in 2007.
She enjoyed bowling and was quite good, participating in many tournaments and even appeared on the Bowling Game. She was an active member of the Early Days Gas Engine and Tractor Club in Oak Creek, WI. Also, an avid collector of antique treadle and miniature sewing machines along with a cherished bell collection. She loved Elvis and recently found out he was her distant cousin. She loved going up to the lake for the weekend and after retirement, she and Earle moved there permanently. She was very active in church, hosting the Advent by Candlelight event for the Lutheran Women’s Society.
Ruth was preceded in death by parents Albert and Esther (née Pratt) Joncas; her husband of 58 years, Earle Sr.; her siblings, Betty, Robert, Gerald, Margaret, Mary, Ronald, David, and Albert.
