I had the pleasure of working with Ron at Marquette Electronics. I was field based, but worked with him to resolve some software issues that I reported back. Many times if an issue had not been seen in the lab, it was treated as a mythical being and not taken seriously. Ron never acted like that and respected the knowledge that I had attained in years of installing and working with the product. As a result of this relationship that I had with him I was able to point him in the right direction to resolve a very strange software problem that was rarely seen, but I had heard of two sites having an odd problem. I was able to visit both of those sites and found a common thread, and it was a key part of resolving the problem. I was able to report this to Ron and he took it seriously and fixed the problem quickly.

While I did not get to work with him in person on a regular basis, I valued the relationship we had developed and appreciated his attention to my suggestions. I have thought of him often over the years. I extend my sincere condolences to his family.

I worked with Ron at GE and Marquette Electronics. He was a pleasure to work with and was respected by his fellow engineers and management. When Ron felt something was not right, he did not hesitate to let management know. I recall the time when Marquette Medical Systems was sold back to GE and the new name management came up with was “General Electric Medical Systems Healthcare Information Technology” which sounded nice. However, Ron realized that the acronym for this name would not be appropriate for the company and let management know. The name was changed.
God be with the family during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
