Obituary for Roberta A Sahagian (Tenut)

Roberta A Sahagian
(nee Tenut) passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017. Roberta was born on April 21, 1943 to Robert and Elizabeth Tenut of West Allis Wisconsin. After graduating from High school in 1961, and passing a civil service exam, Roberta started her working career at VA Hospital in Milwaukee. She became a homemaker in 1970 with her marriage to Peter Sahagian helping raise three step-children; John, Jan, and Jill. During their union, Roberta was the accountant to her husband’s business, and very active in the Armenian Church of South Milwaukee. In 1997 Roberta returned to work for the VA to finish her 25 year career outside the home, retiring in January 2013. Although their marriage ended in 2010 Roberta and Peter remained close until her death. Roberta is survived by her sisters; Valerie Tenut and Debra Tenut, her ex-husband Peter Sahagian, her three step-children; John, Jan, and Jill, four grandchildren; Jacob, Jonathan, Jordynn and Cameron, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, including Amber. She also leaves behind dear friend and colleague Judith Semrad, and many co-workers at the VA Hospital Radiation Oncology Dept. Roberta is preceded in death by her beloved parents Robert and Elizabeth. Roberta "Bobbie" will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she has touched.
Memorial service will be on Friday, September 22, at 5:00PM at Holy Resurrection Armenian Church. 909 Michigan Ave. South Milwaukee. Memorial gathering on Friday from 3:00PM until time of service at the church. Interment following the service at St. Haroutune Armenian Cemetery. A Maza meal at The Goumet House in South Milwaukee on Friday at 6:30PM.
