Obituary for Robert Peter Grochowski

Robert “Bob” Peter Grochowski of Cudahy, WI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 78, with his beloved wife Thea by his side.

Beloved husband of Thea Grochowski (Pletz). Loving Dad of Stefanie Kivi (Jacob) and Michele Tietyen. Loving Step-Dad of Donna Hellmann (Larry), and Frank Huhn (Jill). Proud Grandfather of Gabby, Katie, Jake, TJ, Kristina, Nicole, Jesse, Cyle, Sarah, and Megan. Dear brother of Tom (Angie) and Jimmy Grochowski.

Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Josephine Grochowski (Lendowski), sister Carol, and sister-in-law Patti Grochowski.

Further survived by many great-grandchildren, loving relatives, and friends.

Bob was born on June 18, 1943 in South Milwaukee, WI. He grew up in Cudahy, WI and graduated from Cudahy High School in 1961. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Worms, Germany as a Specialist E4. He worked for many years at Wrought Washer, where he retired as a Press Operator.

Bob most enjoyed spending his time with his family. He enjoyed traveling to Germany to visit his in-laws, up north, or just taking drives to various places around the area. He took a passion to wood working, projects around the house, could fix just about anything, and enjoyed his PBR.

He was a loving and gentle man, one whom could always provide sound advice. He meant the world to us. If there was a proper way to end his story, it would be with lyrics from two songs he enjoyed immensely:

“I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom, for me and you. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world”.
“Hey Jude, don’t make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her under your skin, then you’ll begin to make it better”.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family or an organization close to your heart.
