Obituary for Raymond S. Glowacki

Passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 91. Born July 16, 1932 to Stella and Stanley Glowacki. Preceded in death by his wife Mary (Musarra) Glowacki. Loving father of David (Rachel), Christe (Gary) Banach, Paul (Pat), John (Marie), Peter (Char George) and Robert (Christa). Further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Visitation at Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church (3672 E Plankinton Ave, Cudahy) on Tuesday, April 9 from 3 to 7 PM and on Wednesday, April 10 from 10 to 11 AM. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 10 at 11 AM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church, Nativity of the Lord - St. Vincent de Paul Conference or Project Concern-Cudahy appreciated. 

Ray was a teacher at St. Augustine, Member and Past President of Cudahy School Board from 1978 - 1990 and Mayor of Cudahy from 1990 - 2004. He was involved with several Boards and Commissions: Cudahy Community Development Authority, Fire and Police Commission, Mitchell International Noise Abatement Committee, Past President Cudahy Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Federation and Tavern League of Milwaukee County and Executive VP of Wisconsin Tavern League. Some of his other community involvement includes; St. Vincent de Paul Nativity Conference, Member and Past President of the Cudahy Lions Club, Co-Founder of the Men's Club at Nativity of the Lord Parish, Project Concern Board Member, Interfaith of Cudahy and St. Francis Board Member, St. Bonaventure Board of Directors and member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Policy Forum and the Community Service Award from the South Shore Chambers of Commerce among other local honors.
