Obituary for Michael J Clark

Passed away on August 8, 2018 at the age of 68. Loving husband to Linda and dear father to Michael Thomas, Matthew, Paul and David Clark. Beloved grandpa to Peter and Charlotte. Also survived by his siblings; Marge (Jeff) Barber, Tom (AnnElise) Clark, Greg (Sandy) Clark and Janet (Dale) Garczynski.

Mike joined the Cudahy Lions Club 1989. He was active on numerous committees over the years. He served as Lion Tamer, Tail Twister, Director and Vice President. He was elected Club President in 1996. Mike has attended Bowling Tournaments and numerous District and State Conventions. He was named a Melvin Jones recipient in 2008, the highest honor in the Cudahy Lions Club.

Mike worked for the City of Cudahy since 1976. He spent 17 years as the Water Utility Superintendent and in 1993 assumed the position of General Manager of the Department of Public Works and the Water Utility and retired in 2008. He was a licensed professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin and a Wisconsin DNR certified waterworks operator. Professionally, he has served as the President of the West Shore Water Producers Association, Chairman of the Wisconsin Section of the American Waterworks Association (AWWA) 1998 and served as the Wisconsin Director on the Board of Directors for the American Waterworks Association 2006-2008.

He received the following awards as a member of the AWWA; In 1994 the Leon Smith award, 2002 the Fuller Award, 2007 the Life Member of AWWA and in 2011 the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mike was also a Cub Scout leader and Cubmaster, spent many years as a referee for intramural basketball leagues and was an avid golfer during his retirement years. He was very proud to be a part of the Sweet Applewood Festival through the Cudahy Lions.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Wheaton Franciscan - Franklin Hospital for the care and support given to Mike and his family. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, August 13 (TOMORROW) from 3 to 6 pm with a service at 6 pm.
