Obituary for Lois J Gouge (Lueneburg)

March 19, 1939 - November 6, 2019. Left this earth peacefully to be in the arms of God after a short illness. She was in the care of four loving children; Suzanne (Schunck), Jacqueline “Jackie”, Steven, and Paul Gougé. She loved their spouses Mark Schunck, Alison Bailey-Gougé, and Jaclyn Gougé as equally as her own children. Lois was also Grandmother to (5) wonderful Grandchildren including Sara & Michaela Schunck, and Blake, Logan, and Alaina Gougé. Lois was raised in Oak Creek, WI as the youngest daughter of Alfred and June Lueneburg (Drummond) and remained very close to her brother Fred “Fritz”, Sisters Arline Nelson and Betty Verhalen (dec.) and Sister-in-law Mavis Kowalski. She spent much of her adult life as a resident of South Milwaukee and as the Office Manager / Controller of Rollins and later Penske Leasing. She was an avid walker, gardener, baker, and whale watcher and enjoyed the lifelong company of many pets. Lois will be dearly missed by an immeasurable amount of family, friends, and surrogate children. Lois was a Mother to all. Our heart goes out to all who knew her. We’ve lost a beautiful soul, a Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister, and Friend. In lieu of funeral services, a memorial luncheon will follow her cremation at a date yet to be determined. In her loving remembrance and in lieu of flowers, we ask that any condolences be sent in the form of a donation to the Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimers Association www.alz.org/wi.
