Obituary for Linda A. Seaman (Wowzinski)

Linda was the first born of three children to Ralph and Ruth Wowzynski on August 6, 1949. She Graduated from Cudahy High School in 1967 and earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Alverno College in 1971.

Linda was a choral music teacher at Cudahy Junior High West (1971-1977) and at Cudahy Senior High (1977-2006). She taught for 36 years, conducting choirs, producing musicals and showcasing high school music groups and soloists. She inspired many students to pursue music careers in education and performance. She was well known for her directing and piano accompaniment skills by students and faculty.

Upon retiring, Linda continued to direct the St. John Church Senior Choir and played in the Bell Choir. She joined The Women of Note of Hales Corners, Wisconsin and became director a few years later. Her love of music and the way it affects people emotionally was evident to those who spent time in her presence.

When Linda was four months old, her parents wrote the following in her baby book:

Dearest Linda,
Daddy and Mother never knew how wonderful it was to have a baby until we had you. We both want you to grow up to be a lovable, righteous and respectable woman. We have asked God to help us make you just that. A lot of that is up to you too, though. Please don’t be deceitful or stubborn. Be sweet and good just as you are now. Daddy and Mother both love you. We know you won’t let us down.
Mother and Daddy

Linda is survived by her husband Donald, son Adam; brothers Michael, Ricky, sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
