Obituary for Lila Evelyn Tippett (Carlsson)
RACINE – (Northlake, IL. & Ishpeming, MI.) Lila E. Tippett, age 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at Ramsey Woods Assisted Living facility in Cudahy, WI.
Lila was born in Chicago, IL. on March 23rd, 1939 to Einar and Gerda (nee Appel) Carlsson.
Lila lived in the Chicago area during most of her life working many various types of customer service roles. She worked for many companies, some of which included the Bell Phone Company, Prudential Bache and Division Sales. She also worked at the schools that her kids attended doing such work as a lunch lady, bus driver and a “MA” or hall monitor. Lila retired from working in 2000 and moved up north to Ishpeming, MI with the love of her life, Bob.
Throughout Lila’s life, she enjoyed bowling, cross stitch, crocheting, playing games like Bunco & Farkle with friends, making Swedish pancakes for her kids and creating the most beautiful Christmas trees ever.
Surviving are her children, Michael Tippett (Shelli), Kelly Tippett (Deboran) and Debra Frappy (Chris); Grandchildren: Aaron, Sara, Lia, Meagan, Andrew, Olivia, Savannah, Cooper and Charlie; Great Grandchildren: Mitchel, Trenton, Kelia, Keira, Merritt, Cora, Riley, Oscar and Harper; Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Lila was preceded in death by her father Einar, mother Gerda, brother Carl, sister Vivian and husband Robert Tippett.
We will be having a “Celebration of Life” for Lila on Saturday, March 12th, 2022
