Obituary for Karen Schroeder

Passed away on June 23, 2021 at the age of 81. Daughter to the late Winfred and Florence Kaempfer. Loving wife to Norman for 57 years. Dear mother to Jennette (Spencer) Cable, Fredrick (Carrie) Schroeder Sr., Arleen (Mark) Flannery, and John (Nicole) Schroeder. Beloved grandmother to Shawn, Cassandra, Hannah, Abigail, Fredrick Jr., Chloe, Benjamin, Tessa and Mercedes. Sister to Jean (late James) Abegglen and the late Kathleen (Leonard) Stanczyk. Further survived by brother-in-law Marvin (Diane) Schroeder, sister-in-law Marion (late Harlow) Schroeder, nieces, nephews and friends. Karen worked for the United States Post Office for 20 years, as a teenage she was involved with the Civil Air Patrol and later served in the Army during the Vietnam War. She was a master sewer and crochetier, enjoyed arts and crafts, was the supervisor of assembly of poppies for veterans, an avid canner and food preparer, loved bon fires and the outdoors, which was rooted in her childhood growing up on Okauchee Lake.

Karen's greatest dedication and love was her four children and grandchildren along with her beloved Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go!
