Helen W. Fisher (Nee Wielichowski}, left this life peacefully, the evening of Tuesday, February 21, 2023,
at 97 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving Mom of Pat (Rick) Kais and Don (Kathy)
Fisher. Cherished Grandma of 5: Jesse (Eric) Schlueter, Jason (Dori) Kais, Meg (Dan) Chin, Adam
(Jennifer) Fisher and Mandi (Brandon) Stayner. Very Proud Great Grandma of 10: Sidney, Sam, Dayne,
Will, Benny, Kylie, Evelyn, Bella, Madix and Amelia. Dear sister of Al (Lorraine) Wielichowski. Also loved
and survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her
brother John, and sister-in –law Gertie Wielichowski, her sister Sophie, and brother-in-law Stanley
Pendzich, along with other loving family and friends.
Helen was a lifelong resident of South Milwaukee, graduating from South Milwaukee High School. (at
age 16) She began her work career in the office at Bucyrus Erie. It was at BE, that she was soon to meet
Don, the love of her life. They shared many special times together. Helen ended her work career as
secretary to the president of Crane Manufacturing.
In retirement, Helen continued to keep very busy with her many interests, becoming a wonderful quilter
and an avid volunteer. Helen also enjoyed playing cards at the SM Senior Center and taking trips with
her dear friends and family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, from 10AM-11AM, at DIVINE MERCY CATHOLIC CHURCH,
800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private Burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Charity of your choice, are
appreciated.
