Gertrude R. "Gertie" Pinter (nee Seitz) passed away on June 23, 2022 after a brief, final illness. She has been reunited with her beloved husband, Michael with whom she shared a partnership in life and as co-owners of Pinter's Inn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Johanna (Almer) Seitz, her siblings Fred, Carl and Irma, their spouses and many other dear relatives. She leaves behind her loving children, Barbara (Craig) Johnson and Michael F. (Terri), her cherished grandchildren, Michael C. (Kaylie) Pinter, Kira (James) Michel, Ross (Camila) Pinter and Alex (fiancée Alyssa Sutherland-Lasse) and her adored great-grandchildren, her little ones, Jack, Matthew and Emma Michel and Tilia, Linden and Sophia Pinter.

Gertie lived a long, fulfilled and productive life. She was admired for her devotion as a wife, mother and friend; for her amazing memory and intellect and her ability to perceive clarity in every situation. Her kindness and sweetness will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Gertie was a woman of great character and strength, leaving behind a legacy to emulate. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Ramsey Woods and St. Luke's South Shore for their loving care given through the years.

Visitation at Nativity of the Lord (3672 E Plankinton Ave, Cudahy) on Friday, July 1 from 10 to 11 AM with Mass at 11 AM. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Masks are encouraged for those attending. In lieu of flowers, donations to Salvation Army or Project Concern of St. Francis/Cudahy appreciated.
