Obituary for Gerald D "Jerry" Phillips

South Milwaukee - Born to Eternal Life on February 9, 2023, 83 years. Loving Husband of Diane for 51 years. Dear Father of Tracy (Ray), Jeff (Andi), Brandi. Proud Grandfather of Anthony, Ashley, Gabriela, Brittany. Also survived by brothers and sisters Rose, Dick, Tommy, Terry, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Tom and Bernice Phillips, brother Myron "Sonny" & sister Janet.

Jerry began his life in Stephenson, Michigan. He joined the Army where he served as Military Policeman. Following the Army he became a City of Milwaukee Police Officer and eventually went on to work at Allen Bradley for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, softball, lottery scratch off tickets, and slot machines.

Jerry looked forward to his annual fishing trip on the Mississippi River with Ozzie's Rats for over 50 years. Since retirement he enjoyed spending time and traveling with his wife Diane having recently gone on a cruise with a stop in Colón, Panama where he was stationed in the Army.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 12noon - 2pm at Molthen Bell, 700 Milwaukee Avenue, South Milwaukee, WI 53172. A Funeral Service will follow at 2pm. To honor Jerry's memory, please wear any Packer, Badger, Brewer, or any Wisconsin sporting team attire.

Jerry took part in the ridiculousness of life even giving the nurses and family a good laugh at the hospital. His one liners live on in the voices of his friends and family.
