Obituary for Frederick "Freddy" Miller
Passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2023 at the age of 78. Preceded in death by his parents Charles (Sammy) and Pearl (Peggy) Miller. Loving husband to Mary for 53 years. Dear father to Jennifer (John) Drana and Jason (Jessica) Miller. Beloved grandpa to John, Joe, Collin and Camryn. Preceded in death by his siblings; Charles Miller, Marilyn Pekar and Kenneth Miller. Also survived by sisters-in-law Verna Miller. Shelley Miller and Patricia Kuhrt, brothers-in-law Peter Pekar and Richard (Beverly) Sadowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Freddy expertly worked 36 plus years at the City of Cudahy Department of Public Works as an Equipment Operator. As the unelected Mayor of Cudahy, Freddy served the City on various assignments including garbage collection, paint striping, road repair and snow and ice control. A life long Cudahy resident, Freddy devoted much time and effort in support of Cudahy High School Athletics. He was a long time member of the Cudahy Boys Club. He enjoyed summers navigating Waupaca’s Chain O’ Lakes and attending all of the athletic events of his grandchildren. Freddy valued nothing more than his time with his many friends and relatives and will be remembered for his ability to make a connection with everyone he met. Memorial visitation at the funeral home on Monday, January 9 from 2 to 5 PM with a service to follow at 5 PM.
