Of Milwaukee, WI. Entered Eternal life on November 25, 2018 at the age of 97. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Hempel. Beloved mother of James (Barbara) and Robert (Debbie). Proud grandmother of
Susan and Sharon Hempel (Jeremy Bousman). Great-grandmother of Joey and Juliana. Dear sister of Jane (Stanley) Krupnik. Favorite aunt of Betty (Tom) Zientara and their son Tyler. Further survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Elaine was a long time resident of the south side, having lived in Town of Lake, St. Francis, South Milwaukee, Oak Creek and Milwaukee. She went to grade school at Sacred Heart and later was an active parish member of St. Paul's. While raising two active boys, she also worked part time at the Sears Roebuck store in Cudahy. Visitation at St. Paul's Catholic Church (1720 E. Norwich Ave, Milwaukee) on Tuesday, December 4 from 10 to 11 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
