Obituary for Donna Lea Rehak (Dunn)

On Saturday October 1, 2022, Donna Lea Rehak entered Eternal Life at the age of 86. Donna lived a full life surrounded by friends and her family who were her pride and joy.

Donna was born in La Crosse, WI but her parents Ermon and Alice Dunn settled in the South Milwaukee area early in Donna’s life. She grew up with her sister Darlene as well as her cousins and her best friend. They were all very close and enjoyed many activities together including visiting her grandmother in Wilton, WI when they were younger. They stayed close throughout Donna’s life. Donna & her husband John raised their family in South Milwaukee. After raising her children Donna worked with special needs children in the South Milwaukee School District.

Donna loved her garden and the many cats she had over the years as well as the Green Bay Packers. She couldn’t wait for those games. In her later years Donna became an avid reader, she always had a book nearby. During retirement Donna & her husband John were able to travel extensively and made some wonderful memories. Memories that Donna cherished especially after John passed away.

Donna’s faith has always been a big part of her life. She sang in her church choir for many years and taught bible classes for special needs children; it was that faith that got her through all the challenges that came her way.

Donna was proceeded in death by her beloved husband John Rehak, her sister Darlene Fecteau, her parents Ermon & Alice Dunn and other family and friends. Donna was the loving mother and grandmother to her three children Pamela (Keith) Walter, Gregg (Sherry) Rehak, Tom (Gail) Rehak. Nine grandchildren Laura (Todd) Treder, Keith Allen Walter Jr., Ryan (Amanda) Rehak, Allison (Casey) Wey, Bobby Rehak, Sherri Ross, Tiffany Leysenaar (Todd), T.J. (Alicia) Rehak, Rebecca Rehak. Fourteen great grandchildren Chloe, Sebastian, Damian, Emma, Liam, Reagan, Camden, Callen, Dana, Lily, Alexander, Israella, Judah, Aliza. Donna loved and was especially close to her surviving nephews and nieces. She is further survived by the cousins, and friends who meant so much to her. Donna was a warm, loving lady who will be dearly missed by many, but especially by her loving family.
