Obituary for Conrad Percha

Conrad (Connie) Percha, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23. Conrad was a faithful man who loved the Lord, his family, church, and community. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church and a life-long resident of Wind Lake, WI. He leaves behind a beloved sister, Jean Syms, of La Center, WA; nieces Cindy (Greg) Mitchell of Harpers Ferry, WV; Beth (Duane) Schroeder of Dousman; and Wendy (Kevin) Frazier of La Center, WA; nephews Harold Vincent, III, of Green Bay, and Alan (Pam) Umaske of South Milwaukee. Two sisters – Cecelia (Eugene) Umaske and Joan (Harold) Vincent - preceded him in death.

Connie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially liked identifying and feeding the birds and wildlife. Connie served honorably as an artillery specialist in the U.S. Army for several years. He developed an affinity for fast boats, cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, go-carts, mini-bikes and horses and lived life at full speed. He was a caring, genuine, empathetic neighbor, friend and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family, his beloved cat Smokey, and everyone that knew him.

The service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, September 30 at 10:00 am at the Chapel at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy. Father Ed Tlucek of St. Clare Catholic Church will officiate the service and full military honors will be extended graveside with interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
