Christine Diane Sokolnicki, age 71, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Christine was born March 13, 1951 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Casimir and Isabelle (nee Baranowski) Sokolnicki.
In her early years Chris showed a curiosity for the arts and the wider world as a whole. After High School and graduation from the U. of Wisconsin – Oshkosh she went off to see the world. From riding a camel in front of the Egyptian Sphinx and a gourmet feast at the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore –- to backpacking across Europe and trading with the Jivaro Indians of the Amazon jungle –- Chris was up for the adventure. She never gave up the travel bug but she did settle down to over 25 years as a Category Manager for Sherwin Williams. She loved her job, co-workers and the company.
On the personal side Chris kept close communications with many friends. She was very thoughtful sending a note or calling. These will be sorely missed by many. On the family side she was always in touch with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family meant a lot to her.
Christine is survived by her brother Richard of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents Casimir and Isabelle Sokolnicki. She is further survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24 from 4:00PM-6:30PM with a brief prayer to follow at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home (700 Milwaukee Ave., South Milwaukee, WI 53172).
