Christel Frey of South Milwaukee entered her Heavenly home on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born July 6, 1935, in Passenheim, Germany to Otto and Emma Rubelowski. After growing up in Germany during WWII, she moved to the USA in 1955 where she met and married Otto Frey on March 31, 1957. Her lifetime was filled with a great love for her Lord, her husband, and her family.

Christel was preceded in death by her dear husband Otto, her parents, sister and brother-in-law Ella and Richard Espinoza, brothers Reinhold and Arthur Rubelowski and brother-in-law Harry Frey.

Dear Mama to Linda (late Daniel) Joers, Hardy (Angela) Frey, Brian (Teri) Frey and Randolph (Lisa) Frey. Beloved Oma to Gary (Jessica), Brian (Chris), Julia (Eric), Aaron (Bryanna), Hannah, Erick (Julia), Christel (Randy), Mandy (Ben), Danny (Adrienne), Emily (Levi), David, Grace, Kelsey (Spencer), Jacob and Jenna. Great Oma to Easton, Mason, Jakob, Cody, and Natalie. Further survived by sister Anita (Gerd) Weitkuhn, sister-in-law Tamara Frey, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends both here and in Germany.

Visitation at Zion Lutheran Church (3600 S. Chicago Ave, South Milwaukee) on Monday, May 8th from 9 to 11 AM with a funeral service at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to Zion Lutheran Church are appreciated.
