Betty A. Gross
OAK CREEK, WI (nee Bennett) Passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 84. Betty was born February 26, 1936 in Stearns County MN. On August 2, 1958 she married Fred Gross in Milwaukee WI. They raised 4 children: Steve (Dawn), Greg (Marlene), Joe and Mary. Proud Grandma to Chad, Kyle, Billy and Stevie (Amanda). After high school graduation in 1954, Betty struck out on her own by attending flight reservation school in Kansas City. In 1956 she began work at North Central Airlines in Milwaukee WI. She met Fred, who was stationed in Madison, while he was on temporary duty in Milwaukee. Because she had no interest in moving to Madison, Fred move to Milwaukee. After marriage, she focused on raising their kids. Betty enjoyed gardening, volunteering and supporting friends and family. She volunteered at church, with Interfaith and other organizations. All would say Betty was a loving and compassionate woman, who brought joy to all who knew her. She always gave to others before herself. Betty and Fred were long-time members of St. Matthews Church in Oak Creek WI.
Betty’s family would like to thank all of her friends and extended family, for supporting her through the years, especially since Fred’s passing, and Azura Memory Care Oak Creek for the wonderful care she received this year.
