Obituary for Barbara A Karweik
Barbara A Karweik (nee Dziadowicz) “Shorty” passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022 at the age of 84 with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James. Loving mother of Michael (Kim), Joseph (Karen) and James. Dear grandmother of Vincent (Tristin), Celia (Eli), Ellie (Austin), James “JJ” & Kyle. Barbara is further survived by her beloved brother, Randy (Rebecca) Dziadowicz, her dearest cousins, cherished nieces and nephews as well as many other close relatives and a lifetime of wonderful, special friends.
Barbara was born on February 14, 1938 and was a life-long Cudahy resident where she met her husband, James, as students of CHS. Barbara enjoyed cooking and antiquing but most of all spending time with her family. Everyone who met Barbara always felt welcomed and loved. Her number one goal in life was to please and make sure everyone else was comfortable. Barbara developed dementia in her later years of life, but coped with it as best she could until her passing.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Clifden Court of Greendale, where she lived for the past three years, as well as the staff of Legacy Hospice for all of the wonderful love and care they provided for Barbara. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Dr. Stephen Lamberton and his staff at Lakeshore Medical Clinic of Cudahy for the many years of tremendous care.
Barbara will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy during a private service with family at a later date.
