Obituary for Ann Arlene Meyer (Warras)

Meyer, Ann A.

After a lengthy, bedridden illness our wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend left us on June 25, 2019 at the age of 88.

She is survived by her husband Don Meyer, daughter Diane (Denis) Korb, son Jeffrey Meyer, and grandchildren Sherrie (Korb) Ramm, Steven Korb, Daniel Korb and Great-grandson Matthew Ramm. Ann was born into the large family of Theodore Warras and a sweet, caring mother Helen (Parczyk) Warras in the old Town of Greenfield.
After her early schooling her first job was with Penney’s department store in West Allis. Later it was on to Gimbels at Mayfair and cleaning and serving her church St. Matthew’s in Oak Creek, near her home.

In addition to being a busy housewife, mother and grandma, Ann enjoyed baking cookies for her family and PTA bake sales. She was creative with her various crafts designing chenille Christmas wreaths, floral arrangements, gift items, money trees and Cub Scout centerpieces, often with her neighbor and friend, Jean Young. And don’t forget BINGO! It was time each Friday night to relax and dream of winning the big pot at Classic Lanes in Oak Creek. Another hobby was collecting recipes which she used in preparing her delicious meals for her family and friends.

Ann enjoyed the company of her neighbors Ann and Tom Zembruski and Amy and Pete Helfenbein and was blessed with the gentle and compassionate care of her special caregivers Klaudja Memage and Ikhlass (Alice) Mahoud.

Visitation will be at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday at 12:00PM. Interment at Highland Memorial Park on Monday at 2:00.
