Obituary for Ann L Bonchek

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 23, 2023 at the age of 76. Preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Donald J. Bonchek. Loving mother to Carrie (Matthew) Heislen and Jeanine (Thomas) Connell. Dear grandmother to Ian and Nyla Connell. Also survived by her sister Jeanette (Norm), niece Tina, and many other relatives and friends.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked hard to make the most of family time weather it was the daily dinner she set or special holidays she would prepare for decorating cakes and cookies or making the road trip up north to Hayward to be with her grandchildren. She volunteered for many projects and outings when her daughters were involved in Girl Scouts, Sports and School. Ann(Annie) first started work and met many friends at the Appleton Electric Company in South Milwaukee. She went on to work at Stein’s Garden & Home where she enjoyed her creative nature arranging flowers and decorating for holidays. Ann(Annie) was especially proud of the work she did while employed at the Eder Flag Company. She was proud to be part of the production and delivery process for the United States and flags around the world during Desert Strom and 9/11.

She was a true friend to many, always up for making plans for summer festivals or get-togethers like the annual WoZhaWa Days. She always made sure there was plenty of delicious food and everyone was enjoying themselves. She listened when you needed a friend and helped you see the lighter side life too. Annie was lucky to have so many family and friends and neighbors who loved her, laughed with her and cared for her. She loved and cared for you all too. We will all miss “Little Annie”. Memorial visitation on Saturday, December 16 at the funeral home from 11 am to 1 pm with a service at 1 pm.
