Obituary for Albertina E. Gagliani (Schiaffino)

Print
Known to all as Tina, passed away in the arms of her loving son on November 16, 2018, at the age of 83. Our hearts are broken… Beloved wife, preceded in death by her childhood love, husband Gilberto Dario Gagliani, beloved Mother of William (Janis), loving daughter of late Maria and Alessandro Schiaffino, sister of the late Eugenio Schiaffino. Also survived by loving sisters-in-law Mirella Gagliani and Laura Iacono, nieces and nephews. Tina’s life spanned her youth in Genova (Italy), plus Toronto, Kenosha, Ormond Beach (FL), and S. Milwaukee. A naturally great cook who enjoyed feeding others, a reader of mysteries and gialli, devoted to husband, son, daughter-in-law, and Rolf and Toby. We are indebted to all the wonderful staff of St. Francis Health Services who made her a part of their family, especially Kenya, Monica, Pauletta, Samantha, Tia, and many others, and all at Asera Care Hospice who eased her final days. We are also indebted to the residents and families who adopted her, showing love in many ways. Memorial gathering at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home (S. Milwaukee) on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 10:30-11:30 AM, to celebrate how she touched lives. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Cancer Society and/or ASPCA.
