Obituary for Adele Furnas

Adele Hubred Furnas went home to heaven on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 92. Adele was born March 30, 1928, The third of eight children to Hazel and Jens Peterson, Englevale, N.D. She was raised on a farm, living in a sod house for the first 12 years of her life.

In 1946, she married WWII veteran Morris Hubred, moving to South Milwaukee, WI. They began a family in 1950, raising 6 children. Adele loved being a mother, having babies and small children underfoot. Always busy, she baked, sewed, cooked, canned, and gardened.

In the mid 1960's she earned her Real Estate Broker's License and shortly thereafter earned her way into the Robedeaux $1,000,000 club.

After 40 years of marriage, Adele was widowed, remarrying 7 years later to Robert Furnas and moved to Wautoma, WI. Again widowed, at 87, Adele moved to CO to be close to her daughter, Gloria Komppa.

Adele is survived by her children, Gloria and Guy, her ten grandchildren, Michael Ryan and Eric Komppa, James, Laura and David Baszynski, Brian, Anthony, Guy, Shawn, and Mindy Hubred. as well as her siblings, Lucien, Ervin, Cheryl and Kirby.

Adele is preceded in death by her spouses, parents, siblings; Arlene, Norman, and Roger as well as her children; Sonja, Roy, Kirk, and Todd and grandson Jeremy.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1 p.m at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel, 3301 E. Forest Hill Ave, Oak Creek, WI.
