Obituary for Clarence A. Cornell

Clarence A. Cornell of Oak Creek, passed away on January 19, 2018, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Margery (nee Trapp) of 62 years. He was a loving father to his children, Steven, Cynthia (Mark) Parrott, Barbara (Greg) May, and Catherine (Jody) Bartell. He was blessed with loving grandchildren, Janet Wimer, Brianna (Justin) Anliker, Kaitlynn (Anthony) Thommes, Jessica (Eric) Lyons, Britney May (fiancé Vincent Maresciallo), Bradley Bartell, Shane Bartell, and Mikayla Bartell; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Cameron, Jaxon, and Micah. He is also survived by his sister, Connie (Jim) McLaren and stepbrother, Pete (Sally) Moss. He was preceded in death by brothers, Steven and David; and daughter-in-law, Mary Jo.

Clarence was born in Frankfort, Michigan on October 20, 1933. He attended Benzonia High School where he met his future bride, Margery Trapp of Beulah, Michigan. He served his country in the Marine Corps after high school. A year into his marriage, he moved to the Milwaukee area to attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering and was employed by the Ladish Company Inc. in Cudahy, WI. After 36 years, he retired as Chief Inspector of Product Assurance from the Ladish Forging Division. He was an avid golfer, with memberships in several golf leagues. He enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Texas, working in his garden, and spending time with family and friends.

Memorial service at Oak Creek Civic Center (multi-purpose room-8040 S. 6th St., Oak Creek-Parking on South side of building) on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:30AM followed with visiting and sharing time until 2:30.
