Obituary for Joseph Pelland Jr.
Was born at home with the assistance of a midwife to Dr. Manthei, A Co. Dr of the C&H Copper Co.on the 28th of April 1925 in Lake Linden, Michigan in the UP. A Uper. he attended St. Joseph Grade School and Lake Linden High School. Graduating in 1943. Drafted into the Army in World War II. After the war, he worked at the Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Company as a shipping clerk leader. He went back into the Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning to civilian life again he joined the Marine Corps. Reserve in Milwaukee in 1954 and remained a member of the USMCR until he was discharged and retired in December 1978. He returned to Allis Chalmers Mdg Company and retired in 1979. He was married to Charlotte Rabol in 1955 and had two children, Joseph and Timothy Pelland, Tim is deceased.
